Grayshott: St Luke
Grayshott grew from gorse and heather,
famous names came by the score -
teenage Flora Thompson served
both Conan-Doyle and G B Shaw.
While Bishop Fox of Winchester
endorsed a new refreshment club;
his Pelican crest with bleeding breast
now decorates the village pub.
All this before St Luke's rose high
with fine broached spire to breach the sky.
