Headley Theatre Club members were again involved in the dramatic walk on Hindhead Common organised by Jo Smith for the Haslemere Walking Weekend.
The cast picnic before the performance, at our new 'home' behind the café. |
Photos by Dave Horne:
Sir Robert Hunter (aka Jo Smith) awaits his walking companions |
First they meet Professor John Tyndall (Neil Hardinge) and his wife (Tina Wareham) |
Then Sir Robert engages Flora Thompson (Mel White) in conversation |
He shows his walking companions the state of the roads back in the 18th century |
They soon come upon Sir Jonathan Hutchinson (Jonathan Neil) and his wife (Rachel Spiller) emerging from the bracken on one of their walks, and talking about the glories of living in the countryside rather than in London |
Almost inevitably they meet the Mooreys (Mary and Simon Coyte), broomsquires who are happy to tell the audience about their lifestyle |
And once again we witness the murder of the unfortunate Sailor (Nick Webb, for the ninth time!) by his three assailants (this year Neil Hardinge, David Irwin and Zak White) |
Finally, leaning for support on the Sailor's Stone, Sir Robert reflects on the conclusion of another Dramatic Walk |
If you have any other photos of the day, please do send them.
